Tips on online shopping

We all love to shop, isn’t’ it? Specially girls (no harm meant) they just love to go online. With the advent of mobile apps, you are now online anywhere, anytime. Be it in the metro or in office or on a date, you have access to the whole web of shopping websites & apps.I have seen most people just look at the product & the price before clicking “BUY” button. This as a buyer & both seller is really annoying. And truly speaking should not be the only parameters while shopping. I am not trying to make the shopping experience sound like buying a rocket, but still if some points are considered while buying online, you may save yourself from after sales shopping hassle, exchange & return policy hassle etc...Though you may be aware of some of these, I will help you with some more; 1. Seller ratings: Always check the sellers rating. A rating of 4* or 4* + is considered very good, in fact excellent. The listing on the shopping websites is always arranged in terms of cheapest price & best seller ratings (by default) unless you apply any filter. However do always take time to scroll down or probably a few pages ahead, you may find a better dealer with better ratings or price. 2. Exchange/Return policy: Another very important factor, which most of us fail to check before we press buy button. Websites may promote themselves as very friendly return policy etc. But these conditions differ for each product, so do check these conditions before considering buying. 3. Cash on delivery/Shipping charges: Again websites promote themselves for Cash on delivery & free shipping. However this not mostly applicable on low value items. COD may not be available in some areas. Free shipping is on certain amount of purchase, say Rs499.00 or more. Keep an eye on these. 4. Discount coupons: Most websites which promote coupons tend to inflate the prices & then give you the discount. Remember no one pays from his pocket. So next time you find a discount coupon, do not get flattered. Compare the price with other websites. 5. Product Photos: Never blindly order products by just seeing the photographs. The actual product may vary from the photograph. Always read complete description & then press buy button. So do not get scared, continue not just shopping, continue smart shopping. 6. Membership: Do not fall for Prime, Plus membership. Biggest all time legal fraud from websites. Always remember the golden rule, nothing is free. Shipping costs, premium pricing is already included in the product costs. So be smart.
